Learning Center
Central School of Practical Nursing has a multi-media learning center to complement students' classroom and clinical learning.
Our learning center is staffed by a Registered Nurse who has a background in nursing education and computer technology.
Library
In our library, students will find resources to help them better understand lectures, assist with school projects, and research current issues in nursing, using

- Medical dictionaries & PDRs
- Nursing journals
Nursing Skills Lab
In our skills lab, you will practice many of the procedures you learn in the program before you perform these skills in the clinical setting.
Using a setting that simulates real patient care, you will learn to:
- Make a hospital bed
- Perform bed baths
- Administer range of motion exercises
- Transfer patients
- Perform vital signs
- Provide dressing changes
- Insert Foley catheters
- Provide tracheostomy care
- Give injections
- Initiate and maintain IVs
- Administer oral medication
Computer Access
Central School of Practical Nursing has several computer stations where students may use Microsoft Office programs for papers, care plans, etc. Each computer station also has high-speed Internet access, and the wireless connectivity is available.
