The Pell Grant is a Federal award that does not have to be repaid and ranges from -0- to $5550.
The student must complete a Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by applying over the internet at: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
This is a loan you must repay. Loans are available for up to $3500, if you qualify, for the classes that begin in 2010. These loans are not subject to credit approval and are available to most students regardless of credit history. Instructions for filing are in the Student Financial Handbook that you receive at the information session.
Alternative Student Loans may also be available to you. The loan limit is individually based, but is usually much higher than a Stafford Loan. For this loan you need to have good credit or a co-signer with good credit. You will need to contact different banks to see who offers these loans. Wells-Fargo has two alternative student loan programs.
The School Scholarship is offered to all Cuyahoga County residents – thanks to the generosity of the John Huntington Fund for Education. All applicants who reside in Cuyahoga County and apply for a scholarship will receive at least $500. This scholarship can only be used for tuition at CSPN and is non-transferable.
