Entrance Exam

About the test

CSPN uses the TEAS-V ® for the reading comprehension portion of the test. This section of the test is 60 minutes in length, and requires a score of 55% or higher.

The math portion is not from the TEAS, but instead consists of basic math problems including:

  • Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions
  • Division of decimals
  • Converting from percentage to decimal to fraction to ratio
  • Roman numerals from 1 - 30

This section of the test is 30 minutes in length, and requires a score of 53% or higher to pass.

Calculators are not allowed.

You may take the test only twice.

Please note: For admission consideration, the test must be taken at CSPN.

How to register for the entrance exam

All prospective students must pre-register for the entrance exam. Click here. (Note: Depending on your browser/settings, you may need to temporarily disable pop-up blockers).

After you click "register" at the lower right of the page, you will be given an Assessment ID. Keep track of this number -- you will need it to complete your registration for the test at CSPN. Within 2-3 days after the test, you can log in and check your score.

You are now ready to register for the test at CSPN. The entrance exam fee ($40) is non-refundable. Payment must accompany your registration. You can:

  • Bring in cash if you have exact change. Remember to bring your Assessment ID with you.
  • Bring a money order. Remember to bring your Assessment ID with you.
  • Mail in a money order along with this form. Our address is CSPN, 4600 Carnegie Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44103.

Please note that there is no registration by telephone, since payment is required for registration. You must register at least one day in advance.

Seats for the entrance exam are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is required. There are no walk-in seats available the day of the test.

We regret that we cannot accept personal checks or credit cards for the entrance exam fee.

  • Arco-Nursing School and Allied Health Entrance Exams, by McMillan (study only the LPN review section)
  • Any GED review book
